ADJECTIVES

The adjective is a part of speech that generally describes a noun and usually denotes the quality or attribute of an object. An adjective has the same gender, number and case as the noun it describes.
Typical endings of Ukrainian adjectives are:
"-ий" or "-ій" masculine singular
"-а" or "-я" feminine singular
"-е" or "-є" neuter singular
"-і" all genders plural
Adjectives answer the questions "який?", "яка?", "яке?" and "які?" meaning "which" or "what kind?" In a Ukrainian sentence the adjective usually precedes the noun it describes.
